Respirator Fit Testing

CAPABILITIES:
Our technicians have the ability to provide qualitative respirator fit testing for over 100 employees a day or quantitative fit testing for over 40 employees a day.

APPROACH:
Our approach to conducting this mobile testing service during normal production operations does comply with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 and is outlined below:


1. Each employee reviews with the technician the procedures for positive and negative seal check prior to the administration of the fit test.

2. The technician reviews with each employee the description of the fit test and the employee's responsibility during the test procedure.

3. The technician administers the fit test utilizing the OSHA-accepted qualitative fit test (QLFT) or quantitative fit test (QNFT) protocol, as defined in OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134.

4. The results of the testing will be supplied in the following formats and will contain the following:
a. A summary report identifying the number of employees tested and the pass or fail status. OHHCA can provide individual facility reports as well as a master summary for management.
b. A management summary report listing in alphabetical order all employees who were fit tested , type of mask, test agent and pass or fail status.
c. A copy of each individual employees respirator fit test record for management.
d. Each employee will receive a wallet card denoting the respirator(s) passed.
