Ergonomics Management Program (EMP)

Our EMP program was developed and will be implemented by Occupational Health and Hygiene Corporation of America and TX:Team (Post Care Rehabilitation Network).

The purpose of EMP is to assist employees with ergonomics issues. EMP utilizes a team consisting of medical, industrial hygiene, occupational therapy and physical therapy associates. Our program is OSHA compliant and adheres to the overall goal of reducing the number and severity of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) caused by employee exposure to ergonomics risk factors in the workplaces.

Per OSHA's Ergonomics Program Standard 29CFR 1910.900: Currently in stayed status.

1. On or before October 14, 2001 we will distribute information on the standard to all employees and begin responding to reports of repetitive motion-related injuries.

2. Within seven calendar days after an employee has reported a musculoskeletal disorder, we will determine if the employee's job meets the action trigger.

3. If the job meets the action trigger, we will within seven additional calendar days, provide the employee access to a health care professional.
